Squisito NY Pizza and Pasta has named Grande Cheese as its cheese supplier in its quest to offer premium, quality dishes.
The fast casual Italian/pizza franchise chose Grand Cheese to differentiate against the high profile/cheap deals taking place in the pizza segment currently.
"The cheese makes the pizza. I had already developed a time-honored family sauce recipe, and needed the right cheese to top it off. Although there were other options that were cheaper, we were more satisfied with the pizza overall when we used Grande. I decided when it came to my business, it was more important to perfect our recipes and product than to save a couple of bucks. All successful restaurant owners will tell you that quality and consistency are the most important elements of a restaurant, and I refused to compromise on either," said Squisito founder Gennaro DiMeo.
Additionally, Squisito has hired Kert Gennings as a development agent. Gennings is an experienced operations manager whose resume includes being the COO of Jersey Mike's "Knowing (Squisito) has the best quality product makes my job that much easier. It is better to sell what you believe in, a product that you would purchase yourself as a consumer. As a restaurant consultant, and president of RGI for 10 years, I would always recommend Grande Cheese to all my clients in the Italian/pizza segment. I knew that there were no better options out there," Gennings said.
